Chinook’s Story

When my sister passed away, I took her two cats into my household. This was very stressful for my already senior feline companion.

Chinook was hiding the whole day and was not active at all. My way of comforting her was by giving her food whenever she wanted it, not knowing that she was eating way more than her daily allowance. With time, she picked up a lot of weight. It got to the point where I had to carry her around because she was uncomfortable and even started limping.

I took her to Sister Cindy and she advised the Metabolic Urinary Stress food for her. It sounded amazing and exactly like what she needed.

With every visit she lost more weight. Cindy explained to me from the beginning that we have to be patient and just keep sticking to the guidelines and not give up home. I also found ways to get her more active by sitting on the kitchen floor with her and having her chase her pellets on the floor. This has become such a fun activity for both of us.

It is almost 2 years later and Chinook is almost half her size now. She is active again, less stressed and can walk around without limping or being in pain. For a 13 year old cat I think she looks amazing now. Thank you so much Hill's and Sister Cindy for helping my Golden Oldie find her spark again. She means so much to me and having her as healthy as possible makes my heart feel warm.

Forever thankful,

Mrs du Preez
