Buddy joined our family 3 and half years ago. He got spoiled by his mommy with treats as he was always hungry. Mom gave him more food than what was necessary, so the weight started creeping on. Buddy was happy but being overweight he was lazy and not doing much bar sleeping. Then he damaged his tendons in his back leg which meant he would need an operation, but he had to first lose the weight before they would consider doing any operation.
Hill’s and the Pet Slimmer Clinic at St Francis Vet Edenvale came to the rescue with a diet plan. Buddy slowly started losing the weight with regular check ins with Melissa, he also attended Rehab-A-Pet for physio twice a week and swimming to strengthen the muscles. With the physio and weight loss we've avoided the operation as the muscles have strengthened and healed.
He loves visiting his friends at St Francis Vet, especially Melissa for his weigh in, and Amelia-Stuart and Pieterse at Rehab-A-Pet for his physio and swimming. Thank you to Hill’s for making it easy to lose the weight with their amazing weight control food. I would highly recommend this diet to any pet parent struggling with an overweight pet. Together with the help of Melissa, this is a brilliant programme.
Before the weight loss, Buddy could not jump up onto Mom's bed and now with the weight loss he's able to jump up onto the bed and sleep with his Mom.
Thanks Hill’s for making his weight loss journey possible!
